The Hares-3 system is engineered to detect UAVs using radar and an electronic direction finder. It can classify and identify targets via an integrated electro-optical system. The system's unique capability lies in its choice of different passive or active means for defeating UAVs, depending on the threat evaluation.

Hares-3 boasts impressive technical parameters, including a 2D radar with a range of 5 km for a 0.1 m² target and 3 km for a 0.01 m² target. Its direction finder operates in a bandwidth of 300-6000 MHz and has a range of up to 5 km. The electro-optical (EO) range extends up to 1 km, enhancing target acquisition and engagement capabilities.

A key feature of the Hares-3 is its integration into the ST-500 armored vehicle, making it a mobile and robust system suitable for protecting forces in various combat scenarios. This mobility allows for quick deployment and repositioning in response to emerging threats.

The system includes advanced GNSS suppression technology with a range of 5 km, as well as data-link suppression capabilities in various bandwidths, extending up to 4 km. Additionally, it features a portable gun for directed GPS/DL suppression, extending its countermeasure capabilities.

Hares-3 is equipped with a link to a high-level command center, ensuring seamless integration into broader defense networks and facilitating coordinated responses to UAV threats.
