EDEX 2023: Introduction of EIFDS's Buffalo M12 new armored vehicle.

Eagles International for Defense Systems (EIFDS) showcased their latest product at the EDEX 2023 Expo. The Buffalo M12 APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) is designed to combine protection and functionality, in line with European standards.

The Buffalo M12 is an armored vehicle equipped with a diesel engine, a 6.7 4x4 Mercedes Military Diesel, known for its robust performance. It has a payload capacity of 1300 kg and can accommodate up to 14 people (2+12) in blast-resistant seats, ensuring maximum protection for its occupants. The total weight of the vehicle is 12 tons, and it offers a customizable color option according to customer preference.

The vehicle is armored with high-quality steel, meeting the BR7+ STANAG V protection level. It includes comprehensive protection for the engine part and is equipped with features such as two doors, a hydraulic rear door, and eight side shooting ports. A notable feature of this vehicle is its open-top rotating turret, compatible with a 7.62 mm PKT machine gun or a 12.7x108 mm DShK machine gun.

Furthermore, the vehicle is reinforced with various technical and safety features, including a 12000 LBS capacity electric winch, a rear-view camera, two front cameras, an inside camera with a 10-inch LCD screen, and a military dashboard with control unit. Emergency escape hatches are strategically placed, including a front roof escape hatch with a door and two rear roof escape hatches for the gunner.

Additional features such as fuel jerry cans, robust bumpers, rear hooks, a heavy-duty hydraulic jack, an extra radiator fan, a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, an upgraded battery, blast-resistant seats with seatbelts, and an optional anti-RPG net are included to enhance operational capabilities.

The Buffalo M12 also pays special attention to visibility and protection with its 88.5 mm armored glass, including the windshield and front doors, side windows for rear and side protection, and safety glass grills. Lighting features such as headlights, front and rear LED flashers, and a strobe light ensure visibility in various operational conditions.
