The Puma is a creation of Projekt System Management GmbH (PSM), a joint venture between Germany's KMW and Rheinmetall Land Systeme, developed in the 1990s for the German Army (Heer). Currently, 350 of these vehicles are actively deployed, and in May 2023, an additional contract for 50 more vehicles was granted.

EODH's contract involves the supply of armor sets for over 50 Puma vehicles, with the expectation that more contracts will follow. EODH had previously secured work under existing contracts until 2032, and this has now been extended until 2035 with the addition of this new contract.

The global demand for tanks and their armor has risen notably, especially following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This surge in demand has prompted various countries to explore cooperation opportunities with EODH, with the most recent expression of interest coming from Israel.

EODH has been actively engaged in the production of armor for tanks and armored vehicles of diverse types in recent years. In 2023, the company fulfilled deliveries of armor collections for Hungary's 54 Leopard 2A7 tanks and commenced production for Norway's 58 Leopard 2A7 NORs in April, with provisions for an additional 18. Concurrently, work is in progress on the armor for the German Army's 104 Leopard 2A7V tanks, and discussions are underway regarding potential new tank orders from KMW, ranging from at least 300 units to 700, as well as potential upgrades for a total of 300 Leopard 2A4 and Leopard 1A5 tanks.

EODH has also undertaken a significant project involving the armor collections for the Boxer armored vehicle, with the British Army being the latest recipient. This project, which initially encompasses 500 vehicles, has been ongoing since 2021. In the same year, the company introduced the Hoplite (4×4) armored vehicle and is currently in discussions with interested countries.

Given these growing demands and opportunities, EODH has decided to expand its production capacity by 300%. This initiative began in 2023 with the acquisition of a second production unit, set to commence operations in 2024, along with the addition of new storage facilities. Simultaneously, investments are being made in state-of-the-art equipment such as five-axis CNC machine tools, waterjet cutting machines, and more, with deliveries already underway as of last week.

On December 14th, EODH received recognition as one of the standout companies among the Diamonds of the Greek Economy, along with 37 other Greek firms.
