Lithuania has recently delivered a substantial batch of military aid, enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities against Russian aggression. The Lithuanian Ministry of Defence confirmed that on November 22, the Lithuanian Armed Forces transported and handed over 3 million units of 7.62×51 mm ammunition, remote detonation systems, and specialized winter equipment to the Ukrainian military.

Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas emphasized the nation's unwavering commitment to Ukraine, noting that the aid packages are thoughtfully composed to meet Ukraine's most pressing needs and priorities. The provision of ammunition, remote detonation systems, and winter equipment is a tangible reinforcement of Ukraine's resilience in the face of Russian hostility.

This recent contribution builds on Lithuania's ongoing support, which includes not only military hardware but also comprehensive assistance in various forms. Just over a week ago, Lithuania supplied Ukraine with NASAMS missile launch systems and necessary equipment, procured by the Ministry of Defence. Last week, electrical generators were also provided.

Lithuania has provided considerable support to Ukraine, including a diverse range of military equipment and munitions. Lithuania supplied 36 Bofors L70 anti-aircraft guns starting from February 2023. In the aviation sector, Ukraine received two Mi-8 helicopters before August 2023. The towed artillery includes 18 M101 howitzers of 105 mm delivered in September 2022, along with self-propelled mortars: 12 Panzermörser M113 of 120 mm in November 2022. Additionally, in April 2022, Ukraine received 18 heavy mortars of 120 mm.

The armored vehicle assistance includes 72 M113 and M577 armored personnel carriers delivered starting June 2022. Vehicle support is also notable with the delivery of 10 military trucks and 10 Mitsubishi L200 for demining operations in June 2022, Arctic Trucks AT42 to be delivered, 7 armored Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs in October 2022, and 5 Land Rover off-road vehicles in April 2023. Moreover, Lithuania is collaborating with the German defense industry to repair damaged Ukrainian Leopard tanks.

The light arms support encompasses a broad range of anti-tank weapons delivered in March 2022, about 23,000 automatic rifles and machine guns starting from March 2022, submachine guns in March 2022, 4,000 pistols in 2022, approximately 1,300 grenade launchers in 2022, grenades in March 2022, as well as additional rifles and ammunition in August 2023.

Lastly, Lithuania provided 155 mm artillery ammunition for the PzH 2000 self-propelled guns starting from December 2022, 1.5 million rounds of small arms ammunition in September 2023, and thousands of RPG ammunition to be delivered. This robust and diverse support demonstrates Lithuania's commitment to Ukraine in the face of current security challenges.

Lithuania's support goes beyond equipment delivery. The country actively trains Ukrainian soldiers, provides medical treatment and rehabilitation for injured Ukrainians, conducts expert consultations, and contributes financially to international funds supporting Ukraine. The total value of Lithuania's military support for Ukraine is estimated at around half a billion euros.
