Before August 2023, Ukraine received two Mi-8 helicopters from Lithuania, enhancing its air mobility and rapid response capabilities. Starting from February 2023, Ukraine also received 36 Bofors L70 anti-aircraft guns, bolstering its air defense systems. In addition to these, 72 M113 armored personnel carriers and M577s have been delivered since June 2022, fortifying Ukraine's ground forces.

Lithuania has also committed to sending NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems, countermeasures equipment, material and technical equipment, and other forms of support to Ukraine in the near future. The NASAMS system is particularly noteworthy for its adaptability and ability to engage a variety of targets, such as enemy aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and cruise missiles, in different lighting and weather conditions.

Lithuania's support is not limited to military hardware. The country has been actively involved in training Ukrainian soldiers and providing medical treatment and rehabilitation services for Ukrainians. Lithuania is also contributing to international aid funds dedicated to Ukraine, highlighting its comprehensive approach to aid.

In a statement made on September 8, 2023, the Lithuanian Prime Minister also announced that from 2024-2026, Ukraine is expected to receive a military aid package worth EUR 200 million from Lithuania. While the specific details of this future package have not been disclosed, it is expected to significantly strengthen Ukraine's military capabilities, thereby enhancing its ability to face Russian aggression.
