These pivotal agreements brokered between the State Treasury - Armament Agency and the PGZ-NAREW Consortium, will see the delivery of crucial components of the NAREW air-defense system. This includes a staggering count of over a thousand CAMM-ER missiles and 138 missile launchers, specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with the IBCS.

In a move that underscores Poland's commitment to domestic production and technological advancement, a technology transfer has been contracted. This ensures that both the missiles and launchers will be produced on Polish soil. Additionally, a comprehensive training and logistics package has been included.

The timeline for these deliveries is set between 2027 and 2035, marking a significant continuation of the framework agreement inked back in September 2021. This prior agreement had laid down the terms for the procurement of the NAREW system and the subsequent steps to expedite the enhancement of combat capabilities, particularly in countering aerial threats.

Furthermore, as per the agreement dated April 14, 2022, two fire units of the Mała Narew short-range air defense system are in the acquisition process. Impressively, the first unit is already operational and on combat duty, while the second is nearing the completion of its delivery.

The NAREW missile program is an integral component of Poland's strategy to enhance its integrated air defense network. The MND’s Armament Agency, in collaboration with the PGZ-NAREW Consortium, which comprises various Polish defense entities, has made announcements regarding the procurement of essential elements for the Narew SHORAD (Short Range Air Defense) system. These agreements encompass delivery plans spanning from 2027 to 2035, which include over a thousand CAMM-ER missiles and 138 rocket launchers.

A significant aspect of this collaboration is the technology transfer that has been contracted to ensure the domestic production of both missiles and launchers in Poland. This arrangement also includes a comprehensive training and logistics package. Unofficial figures suggest that the combined value of these contracts is approximately zł54 billion, which is almost $13 billion. In addition to the NAREW program, Poland has other defense initiatives, such as the Wisla program, which is poised to be the cornerstone of Poland’s missile defense network. As part of this initiative, Poland has expressed its intention to acquire 12 Lower-Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensors (LTAMDS) and an additional 48 Patriot launchers.
