The Military Technical Institute operates as an integral part of the Directorate for Defense Technologies within the Sector for Material Resources under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia. Recognized as a scientific and research institution by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, VTI plays a pivotal role in advancing the country's technological prowess in the defense sector.

The OT MRAP 6x6 M20, the latest addition to Serbia's defense arsenal, is engineered with a primary focus on ensuring the secure transportation of military personnel and equipment while maintaining a low-profile vehicle silhouette.

The vehicle's ballistic protection is particularly noteworthy, as it can withstand incendiary bullets of caliber 14.5 mm from all directions, meeting STANAG IV standards. Additionally, its anti-mine protection is rated at level 2a/2b, capable of withstanding explosions of up to 6 kg of explosives.

One of the key features of this armored vehicle is its dependable dependent bridge suspension system, ensuring stability and mobility even in challenging environments. Moreover, the OT MRAP 6x6 M20 is designed with modularity in mind, allowing for easy customization to cater to diverse operational needs. It can be adapted for transporting heavy cargo, weapons, or wounded soldiers, making it a versatile asset on the battlefield.

In terms of armament, the OT MRAP 6x6 M20 can be equipped with different types of weapons to suit specific mission requirements. To enhance its protection capabilities, the vehicle offers additional modular armor options, offering flexibility to adjust the level of security based on the threat landscape.

The OT MRAP 6x6 M20 measures 8578 mm in length, 2509 mm in width, and 2643 mm in height and can achieve a maximum speed of 100 km/h. The vehicle is designed to accommodate a crew of 15 members, consisting of 3 crew members and 12 infantrymen. It comes equipped with additional features such as visualization systems, smoke boxes, and a winch BST 22000 for added functionality. The armament options include modular turrets for a 12.7mm machine gun, as well as a modular turret for BGA and PM.
