The Brave1 project is a major initiative launched by the Ukrainian government to stimulate the development of defense technologies. Created in collaboration between several ministries, including the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Security and Defense Council, the Ministry of Strategic Industries, and the Ministry of Economy, this cluster aims to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and save both military and civilian lives.

Brave1 is designed as a coordinated platform to facilitate collaboration between defense technology companies, the government, the military, as well as investors, volunteer foundations, the media, and all those contributing to Ukraine's victory through technology. The initiative aims to accelerate the implementation of technological developments such as UAVs, situational awareness systems, artificial intelligence, and satellite data, which are essential for gaining an advantage on the battlefield.

Brave1's work focuses on five main areas: investing in developers meeting the needs of security and defense forces, inventing effective technological solutions, creating a platform that unites all industry stakeholders, presenting these developments to defense forces and obtaining their feedback, and providing comprehensive support to priority projects. The experience of collaboration between public and private actors within Brave1 and industry support not only benefits the military but also represents a powerful export product, as Ukrainian defense technology solutions have proven their effectiveness in the most fierce battles.

Individuals, startups, or companies interested can submit their ideas or products to Brave1 and receive state grants, enabling both business development and the provision of winning technologies to the military. This cluster represents a significant step in Ukraine's strategy to become a rapidly developing country that actively learns and uses technology.

Furthermore, funds from Brave1 have been allocated to logistics and life support systems, automated control systems, communication, and information protection systems, as well as technical reconnaissance devices.

These developments help counter the enemy more effectively and save lives, ranging from naval drones and UAVs to robots and turrets.
