Earlier, on March 18, 2023, Poland donated 30 Oncilla 4x4 vehicles to Ukraine, designated for the Ukrainian Special Forces engaged in the conflict with Russian forces. These vehicles, part of the international military aid to Ukraine, play a crucial role in bolstering the country's operational capabilities.

The Oncilla is a Polish version of the Ukrainian-designed Dozor-B, developed by the Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau. Developed by Lacenaire Limited Co in collaboration with the Polish company MISTA, the Oncilla is tailored to meet modern tactical and operational needs. Its design includes the engine at the front, crew space in the middle, and a troop compartment at the rear. The Oncilla's hull, made of high-strength armored steel, protects standard armor-piercing ammunition such as 7.62 x 51 mm rounds, with the option to add additional armor for protection against 12.7 mm NATO standard (STANAG-4269) bullets.

To enhance crew safety, the vehicle's interior is lined with ballistic protection, and the windows are made of bulletproof glass. The vehicle's bottom is designed to offer better defense against mines. The Oncilla can be equipped with an open-top turret or a remotely operated weapon station with a 12.7 mm machine gun. This station may include a fire control system with a laser rangefinder, thermal imager, and television cameras.

These Oncilla armored vehicles enhance the Ukrainian army's mobility and responsiveness, crucial in the current conflict context.
