Africa Automotive Distribution Service Ltd., Gibraltar, has been awarded a US$66,000,000 single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for J8 Jeep tactical vehicles. This contract serves to fulfill recurring needs related to Jeep J8 tactical vehicles and associated equipment, spare parts kits, specialized tools, supplementary equipment, including recurrent services and training. This equipment is intended to meet the requirements for transporting counter-narcotics forces tactically in support of partner nations collaborating with the United States in counter-narcotics endeavors.

This contract was awarded on a sole-source basis. At the time of the award, fiscal year 2022 and 2023 operation and maintenance funds amounting to $5,000,000 have been allocated. The contracting activity responsible for this contract is the Air Combat Command, Acquisition Management and Integration Center, located at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. The performance location for this contract lies within the jurisdictions of the US Southern Command and Central Command. The expected completion date for this endeavor is September 27, 2027

Africa Automotive Distribution Services Limited operates as an automobile manufacturing company, specializing in the production of sports utility vehicles. They provide sports utility vehicles primarily to government and military customers.

The Jeep J8 is a military vehicle initially based on the Jeep Wrangler JK platform, but it has transitioned to the Jeep Wrangler JL platform. It is utilized by government agencies, security organizations, peacekeeping forces, fire departments, underground mining operations, and other industries that require rugged off-road vehicles. The J8 model made its debut at the Defence Systems & Equipment International (DSEi) trade show on September 13, 2007. Africa Automotive Distribution Services Limited assembles the J8 in Gibraltar and has developed and tested the entire range of J8 vehicles for deployment in various missions, including logistical and frontline operations.
