SKYCO Leasing is in charge of what Airbus describes as the leading aviation industry development in the province. The H175 helicopters acquired by SKYCO Leasing will be deployed by the Guangdong Government for search and rescue, emergency medical services, disaster relief, and other public service missions in China.

The Airbus H175, initially launched as the Eurocopter EC175, stands as a medium utility helicopter designed to excel across a diverse array of operations including VIP transportation, offshore oil and gas support, public service missions, and search and rescue efforts. A product of a collaborative effort between Airbus Helicopters (once Eurocopter) and AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China), the H175 is a testament to international cooperation in the aerospace sector.
It aims to fulfill the increasing demand for a versatile, efficient helicopter within the 7-ton class, incorporating cutting-edge technology to ensure exceptional performance, range, and passenger comfort. With its capacity to comfortably seat 16 to 18 passengers in its standard configuration and equipped with two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67E turboshaft engines, the H175 offers notable hot and high capability, crucial for challenging environments.

The helicopter's advanced avionics, 4-axis autopilot, and state-of-the-art navigation systems underline a commitment to safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, positioning the H175 as a competitive option against counterparts like the Sikorsky S-92 and AgustaWestland AW189. This versatility and adaptability in roles make the Airbus H175 a preferred choice for operators around the globe, praised for its operational flexibility, performance, and comfort.

Bruno Even, CEO, of Airbus Helicopters underscores the province's interest in new choppers, “This cooperation goes far beyond the purchase of helicopters. It is an unmistakable sign of Guangdong Province’s willingness to lead the development of the helicopter market in the southern region of China,”

Airbus and SKYCO Leasing also reached an agreement on their support for the reform to open low-altitude airspace. The partnership will also explore an effective business model adapted to the Chinese aviation market that will contribute to regional economic growth.
