CNIM Systèmes Industriels to equip Polish army with additional 700m of Motorized Floating Bridges.
In June 2022, CNIM Systèmes Industriels was selected by the Polish Armament Agency to supply motorized floating bridges (PFM) to the Polish Armed Forces. On 2 February, 2024, Xavier Montazel, Director of the Defence Business Unit, travelled to Poland to sign the second contract for the supply of 700 metres of additional bridges. The collaboration between the Polish Army and CNIM Systèmes Industriels is therefore a long-term one.

The first 200 metres of bridges (task order 1) are already being manufactured in CNIM’s workshops in La Seyne- sur-Mer (south of France). The latest version of the PFM, which will equip the Polish forces, has state-of-the-art tactical and technical capabilities, including crossing of the heaviest vehicles (MLC 90T/100W), unrivalled ease of construction and speed of deployment, a reduced logistical footprint and corrosion-resistant aluminium, etc.
Highly mobile and easy to deploy, the motorized floating bridge provides a safe and fast crossing for logistic vehicles and battle tanks of all classes, including the M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams version. The motorized floating bridge will enable Polish forces to significantly improve their mobility in Poland, Central Europe and Eastern Europe.
‘’We would like to thank our customer for its renewed trust. As a reliable partner of the engineering forces, CNIM Systèmes Industriels reasserts its position as a key player in the supply of high-performance crossing systems’’, said Xavier Montazel.
