DAEJI P&I presents DAPC-3 and DAPC-2 armored personnel carriers at WDS 2024.
At the World Defense Show 2024, South Korean manufacturer DAEJI P&I showcases the latest models in its line of armored vehicles, the Dapc-3 and Dapc-2, highlighting significant advancements in protection, mobility, and versatility across various operational environments. Designed to meet the stringent requirements of modern military and security forces, these vehicles offer enhanced capabilities for a range of challenging scenarios.

The Dapc-3 and Dapc-2, both 4x4 armored vehicles, differ in size and capabilities. The Dapc-3, with single rear wheels, measures 5,425mm in length, 2,300mm in width, and 2,610mm in height, while the Dapc-2 is slightly larger, at 6,000mm long, 2,490mm wide, and 2,658mm high. These specifications provide exceptional maneuverability across different terrains. Both vehicles boast a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 7,000kg for the DAPC-3 and 12,000kg for the Dapc-2, with a seating capacity of 10 across both models.
Equipped to meet NIJ 0108.01 and STANAG 4569 standards, they offer protection against 7.62x51mm caliber bullets. Built on the heavy-duty Ford F550 chassis, they include various defensive features, such as nine weapon ports and a pivotable turret system, along with all-terrain tires equipped with run-flat systems.
Additional features include a tactical ladder, detachable window grilles for enhanced protection, electric winch with a capacity of 6,800kg, and advanced communication systems to ensure operational effectiveness. The vehicles are equipped with independent suspension systems, automatic transmissions. Capable of speeds over 100 km/h and with a range exceeding 600 km, these vehicles are designed for extended missions without frequent resupply.
During a military parade on 6 January 2021, the Iraqi armed forces presented several Dapc-2s, a reminder of the two countries' cooperation. Iraq has acquired a number of South Korean military assets, including the KAI T-50 Golden Eagle advanced trainer aircraft and the FA-50 light combat aircraft. At the same time, South Korea has been involved in various reconstruction projects and has provided training and support for efforts to rebuild Iraq's infrastructure and strengthen its defence forces.
DAEJI P&I, based in South Korea, is known for producing a wide range of vehicles, including specialized equipment for police units like water cannons and armored personnel carriers. Producing an average of 400 vehicles annually and employing around 50 people, the company has sold over 2,700 water cannons to 20 countries, highlighting its significant role in the international defense and civil security market.
