The Superav 8x8 is powered by a 6-liter, turbocharged Iveco Cursor 13 diesel engine, capable of producing 700 horsepower. It is paired with a ZF 7HP902 gearbox, featuring seven forward and one reverse gear. This vehicle reaches a top speed of 105 km/h (65 mph) on land and 10 km/h (6.2 mph) on water, with respective ranges of 800 km (497 miles) and 64 km (40 miles). It is equipped with systems such as central tire inflation and run-flat tires, enhancing its mobility and resilience.

Crew protection is ensured by a high-hardness steel hull, designed to withstand small arms fire, artillery shell splinters, landmines, and IEDs. Additional armor kits can be added to enhance protection. The vehicle also incorporates NBC protection systems and automatic fire suppression systems.

The Superav 8x8 can accommodate various weapon systems, up to 40 mm, mounted on remote weapon stations or turrets. The troop carrying capacity varies depending on the armament configuration, reducing from 12 to either 8 or 10 soldiers.

The vehicle is offered in various configurations, including versions for troop transport, anti-tank warfare, mortar support, engineering, recovery, ambulance, and command post roles. Its technical specifications include an overall length of 8300 mm (27.2 feet), a hull height of 2600 mm (8.5 feet), and an overall width of 3100 mm (10.2 feet). The empty weight is 26,000 kg (57,320 lbs), with a payload capacity of 5500 kg (12,125 lbs), resulting in a combat weight of 31,500 kg (69,445 lbs). It also features advanced mobility capabilities, such as the ability to negotiate significant slopes and side slopes, and increased range thanks to its powerful engine and efficient transmission.
