Eurosatory 2024: French Company Etendard Unveils Spectre Stealth Vehicle for First Time.

At the international Eurosatory 2024 exhibition held in Paris starting June 17, 2024, the French company Etendard unveiled its new vehicle model: the SPECTRE, an innovative tactical electric trial. This vehicle, designed for armed forces and civil security entities, stands out for its discretion, lightness, and ease of deployment.

The Spectre is powered 100% by electric energy, operating at a voltage of 72V with a continuous power of 6 kW. It features a two-wheel drive transmission, driven by a 1 kW Direct Drive motor at the front and a 5 kW Direct Drive motor at the rear, both cooled by a liquid system. This vehicle uses an INR technology battery, offering a capacity of 2160 Wh, easily extractable for quick disassembly and reassembly. The battery management system (BMS) is a CANBus smart 20s, and recharging can be done directly on the vehicle or via a dedicated charging rack.

The electronics on board the SPECTRE are distinguished by redundant controllers and offer three driving modes: economic, normal, and sport. All connections are wired to avoid any radio wave emissions, and essential information is displayed on an IP67 waterproof LCD screen.

The welded tubular chassis made of high-strength aluminum, with underbody protection, ensures the robustness of the SPECTRE. The front and rear suspensions, respectively a hydropneumatic fork and a hydromechanical mono-shock swingarm, provide 150 mm of travel at each wheel, guaranteeing excellent maneuverability and shock absorption on rough terrain. The braking system consists of four-piston calipers with 220 mm floating discs, ensuring powerful and precise braking.

The SPECTRE features compact dimensions, with a total length of 197 cm, a width of 34 cm when flat-packed, and a height of 115 cm, with a wheelbase of 132 cm and a ground clearance of 25 cm. Weighing only 55 kg, it can carry an equipped operator up to 150 kg, reach a maximum speed of 55 km/h, and climb slopes up to 150%. It can also cross fords up to 70 cm deep and overcome obstacles up to 40 cm high. Its off-road range is 40 km, with a maximum sound signature of 62 dB and a thermal signature of 65°C.

To meet the specific needs of each mission, the SPECTRE is customizable with various color options, covering patterns, charging systems, and tire profiles. Vehicle supports, additional batteries for greater range, and all necessary spare parts are available on request. Additionally, Etendard offers training for users and technicians to ensure optimal vehicle use.

Etendard spoils us this year with a whole series of new products, including the Furie vehicle, which we mentioned on Army Recognition on June 17, 2024.
