The Caracal stands out for its compact and modular design, specifically developed to meet the demands of airborne missions and special operations. Built on the proven chassis of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the vehicle offers exceptional mobility, a lightweight structure, and optional ballistic protection elements, making it robust and adaptable to the most extreme conditions. Its total weight of 4,900 kg and payload capacity of 1,500 kg provides significant flexibility in operational use.

This vehicle is designed to be air-transportable, whether internally or slung, thanks to its compatibility with CH-47F Chinook and CH-53K King Stallion helicopters. This feature is crucial for military operations that require rapid deployment and high mobility.

Presenting the Caracal at Eurosatory serves multiple purposes. Firstly, the exhibition provides an excellent platform to demonstrate the vehicle's technical and operational capabilities to a broad range of potential clients and partners. Additionally, participation in such an event enhances Rheinmetall's visibility and reputation as a leader in light and tactical military vehicles. Furthermore, it highlights the innovations and technological advancements in mobility and protection for airborne and special forces units.

The Caracal can accommodate up to five crew members, with two seats in the front and two in the rear, as well as a circular mount for a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun. Its open design and modular system allow it to be easily adapted for various roles, including troop transport, reconnaissance missions, ambulance services, and command posts.

In terms of performance, the Caracal can reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h and is capable of overcoming impressive obstacles, such as 60% inclines, 30% side slopes, and 500 mm ditches. It is equipped with ABS and ESP systems for better stability and safety. Its 3-liter turbo-diesel engine provides 249 horsepower, ensuring reliable and efficient performance in the field.

Rheinmetall's participation in Eurosatory 2024 with the Caracal perfectly illustrates the importance of innovation and adaptation in modern defense. By showcasing this advanced vehicle, the company demonstrates its ability to meet the evolving needs of armed forces worldwide, offering solutions that combine mobility, protection, and versatility.
