This strategic acquisition plays a pivotal role in enhancing the army's logistical capabilities, particularly in the rapid and efficient transport of heavy military machinery. This initiative strengthens the army's capacity to carry out diverse missions with increased effectiveness.
Brigadier General Mohammad Davoud Saremi, deputy head of the Army's Preparedness and Support section, emphasized the army's solid preparation, especially highlighting the readiness of ground force units, including rapid reaction units. These units are now better equipped with advanced heavy and super-heavy vehicles, ready to perform their tasks with high efficiency.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Army has recently unveiled a new super-heavy tank transporter, named Kian 600+. This transporter is designed to carry armored vehicles, thereby reducing the wear and tear on tracks and other components of the powertrains of tracked vehicles. This development is part of a series of initiatives aimed at improving the logistical and operational capabilities of the Iranian ground forces. The Kian 600+ is capable of transporting multiple armored vehicles simultaneously, significantly enhancing the army's logistical efficiency.
In addition to the Kian 600+, other notable advancements were presented, including special-duty trucks of 100 and 60 tons, a mobile medical unit equipped with a laboratory, operating room, medical imaging equipment for radiography, and an intensive care unit, as well as an armored ambulance capable of transporting six casualties at once.
The Kian-700 tank transporter, previously revealed, is another significant example of Iranian innovation in military logistics. Equipped with a heavy tractor unit with a 700-horsepower engine and a towing capacity of 200 tons, the Kian-700 features the "Soleiman-3" super-heavy trailer, capable of transporting two 60-ton military tanks. Weighing a total of 17.7 tons, this transporter has four axles and a 12-speed transmission.
Logistics play a crucial role in high-intensity conflicts. The ability to quickly and efficiently move heavy equipment such as tanks and other armored vehicles is essential for maintaining the agility and responsiveness of armed forces. Efficient transport systems like the Kian 600+ and Kian-700 enable rapid redistribution of military resources, crucial for responding to evolving battlefield situations. They also ensure that heavy equipment can be brought to where it is most needed without excessive wear, extending the equipment's lifespan and reducing maintenance costs.
General Saremi attributed the successful deployment of the Zul-Janah plan, an integral part of the overarching Labik Nezaja strategies, to this enhancement in capabilities. He also stressed the army's focus on maintaining high levels of ammunition supply, noting the recent transfer of all open-area stored ammunition to secure depots. This measure ensures sustained operational readiness under all circumstances.
The introduction of these advanced tank trailers marks a step in strengthening the logistical and operational capabilities of the Iranian Army Ground Forces.
