The official IRNA Iranian news agency highlighted the strategic importance of these new additions to Iran's military arsenal, especially against the backdrop of the ongoing war in Gaza and the recent spate of attacks on ships in the Red Sea, attributed to Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The introduction of these systems is seen as a direct response to the escalating threats in the region, aiming to bolster Iran's defensive posture significantly.

The Arman missile system, with its capability to engage six targets simultaneously within a range of 120 km to 180 km, represents a leap forward in Iran's anti-ballistic capabilities. On the other hand, the Azarakhsh system specializes in low-altitude defense, capable of identifying and neutralizing targets up to 50 km away with its four ready-to-fire missiles.
