Kvertus develops AD Counter FPV Backpack F2 M50 system for effective drone countermeasures.

At the MSPO 2024 exhibition, the National Association of Ukrainian Defense Industries (NAUDI) introduced the Kvertus AD Counter FPV Backpack F2 M50, a new addition to its range of counter-drone technologies. This range also includes systems such as the AD G-6+ anti-drone gun and the portable AD Counter-FPV Backpack. Developed by the Ukrainian company Kvertus, this portable UAV jamming system is designed to disrupt drones controlled using First Person View (FPV) technology by covering a broad frequency range.

The Kvertus AD Counter FPV Backpack F2 M50 is a high-power system that creates dome-shaped protection by jamming frequencies between 700 and 1050 MHz. It is intended to neutralize drones, particularly those operated with signal amplification by drone operators. The system's UAV blocking range extends up to 150 meters, depending on the operational environment, and it uses electromagnetic interference across several channels. Each channel emits an electromagnetic noise spectrum with a power output of 50 watts, targeting different frequency bands between 700 MHz and 1050 MHz.

This equipment is powered by a 24V, 60Ah removable rechargeable battery, enabling it to operate for a minimum of 120 minutes on a single charge. The system, including its aerials, weighs up to 15 kilograms. The backpack is equipped with omnidirectional collinear aerials that provide coverage in all directions. It is designed to be operational within 30 seconds of being powered on, allowing for rapid deployment.

The system allows operators to choose from a range of jamming frequencies, including 130-180 MHz, 220-300 MHz, 300-400 MHz, 400-500 MHz, 500-600 MHz, 600-700 MHz, 700-900 MHz, 900-1050 MHz, and 2400-2500 MHz. The backpack can house two modules of any selected frequency range, providing a total of four modules to enhance its ability to block multiple drone frequencies simultaneously.

The Kvertus AD Counter FPV Backpack F2 M50 package includes the main jamming unit, four aerials, a charging device, a removable rechargeable battery, a user manual, and the IP-1 field indicator. The IP-1 field indicator is an independent device that allows for quick detection of drone activity in various conditions.

According to its specifications, the Kvertus AD Counter FPV Backpack F2 M50 is designed to provide a portable and efficient solution for countering drones across a wide range of frequencies. Its modular structure allows for customization based on specific operational requirements, making it a flexible option for defense against aerial threats in diverse environments.
