February 6, 2024, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - The World Defense Show 2024 has once again set the stage for the latest advancements in military technology, drawing attention to the land demonstration segment where leading defense companies from around the globe showcased their state-of-the-art combat vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Canadian-based International Armored Group (IAG) made a significant impact with the demonstration of its Rila Xtreme MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle, highlighting its advanced protection capabilities against landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Alongside the MRAP, IAG also showcased the Light Reconnaissance Vehicle (LRV), emphasizing speed and agility for reconnaissance missions.

From the United States, AM General introduced the HUMVEE Saber, a light tactical vehicle designed for modern warfare's flexibility and responsiveness. The HUMVEE Saber represents the latest evolution in the renowned HUMVEE series, offering enhanced mobility and adaptability in diverse environments.

The land demonstration also provided a platform for an impressive array of UAVs, underscoring the increasing importance of aerial reconnaissance and surveillance in modern military operations. Highlights included the Teal 2 from Red Cat Holdings, alongside the HAZIM drone, a notable contribution from Saudi Arabia's growing defense sector.

Saudi Military Industries (SAMI) captivated attendees with live demonstrations of its Tatra T158 6x6 trucks, the STORM II APC (Armored Personnel Carrier), and the Ubayyah II light reconnaissance vehicle. These demonstrations underscored SAMI's commitment to advancing Saudi Arabia's domestic defense manufacturing capabilities.

Adding to the international flavor, UAE's Calidus showcased the MCAV-005, a 4x4 APC designed for versatility and protection. The highlight from Calidus was the 8x8 armored vehicle WAHASH, equipped with a Russian-made BMP-3 turret. This formidable vehicle features a 100 mm cannon and a 30mm automatic cannon, showcasing the latest in armored vehicle firepower.

The World Defense Show 2024's land demonstration was a testament to the global defense community's innovation and collaboration. As companies from Canada, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE displayed their latest military hardware, the event provided a unique insight into the future of land warfare and defense technology.
