The newly acquired vehicle is classified as civilian special equipment and bears license plates typically used for tractor-type vehicles. This registration format is consistent with those of other armored vehicles previously acquired by the metro security service. The vehicle is currently operational in central Moscow and features an armored turret designed to mount a large-caliber machine gun. This detail suggests that the vehicle may be intended for tasks beyond transport security, potentially involving scenarios that require more robust defensive capabilities.

Photographs circulating on social media depict a vehicle marked with the insignia of the State Unitary Enterprise "Moscow Metro," although it lacks any specific logos. While the precise model has not been officially confirmed, it is known that the vehicle was manufactured in the People's Republic of China. Preliminary reports indicate that it is the Dongfeng EQ2091XFB, a nine-ton truck marketed in China as an "anti-terrorist military vehicle." The vehicle is designed to withstand fire from Kalashnikov assault rifles (AK-47) and serves various roles, including border patrols, counter-terrorism operations, riot control, battlefield rescue, peacekeeping missions, communication command, armed escorts, and disaster relief.

This acquisition represents the fourth addition to the Moscow Metro's fleet of armored trucks in four months. During this period, the metro's transport security service acquired at least 15 Russian-made armored vehicles, including models such as the Buran, the Z-STS Akhmat, and the Astasis Patrol. The purchase of the Chinese-made armored vehicle suggests an ongoing effort to strengthen transport security measures within the city.
