The KuRFS and Coyote systems will be deployed to support the U.S. Central Command's operations as part of the integrated defense system against low-altitude, slow, and small UAS, known as LIDS.

Tom Laliberty, President of Land Warfare & Air Defense at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, emphasized the importance of this technology in combating a growing and global threat. He stated that the KuRFS system provides advanced 360-degree threat detection, while Coyote effectors deliver efficient drone neutralization capabilities.

The KuRFS system, with its precision targeting radar, offers persistent detection, identification, and tracking of airborne threats. Similarly, the Coyote Block 2 system can neutralize individual drones and swarms of drones of various sizes and maneuverabilities, at altitudes and ranges greater than those of similar class systems.

This initiative is part of the U.S. Army's LIDS program, which aims to integrate advanced technologies to counter UAS. The LIDS system combines KuRFS sensors and Coyote® effectors with other advanced systems, providing a comprehensive and effective air defense solution.
