Bryan Rosselli, President of Advanced Products and Solutions at Raytheon, emphasized the significance of CIV, stating that it comprises multiple integrated systems aimed at boosting the Bradley Fighting Vehicle's survivability and overall battlefield performance. These systems encompass early threat detection, complete battlefield visibility, and all-weather functionality, empowering vehicle commanders to identify and engage both stationary and moving targets under any conditions, be it day or night.

This development marks an advancement in Raytheon's FLIR product family, building on their extensive experience of delivering over 25,000 second-generation FLIR sensors in the last two decades. The knowledge gained from previous generations has been applied to the development of the third-generation FLIR sensor. Raytheon's FLIR technology has been a vital component for military forces for over 50 years.

The production of these CIV units is set to take place in McKinney, Texas, with the initial deliveries anticipated to commence in June 2026.
