The Kalashnikov Concern has started delivering its specialized "Stena" vehicles. The first "Stena" vehicle was manufactured in the special machinery division of the Izhevsk plant and handed over to the client. According to the contract signed in December 2023, these vehicles will be delivered in batches throughout 2024 and 2025.

The "Stena" complex was designed by Kalashnikov engineers for the Russian National Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD). It is intended to block the movements of violators and protect law enforcement personnel during the suppression of mass riots. The system includes a basic chassis and equipment for a mobile protection complex, consisting of barriers, fire suppression systems, video surveillance and recording systems, as well as sound and light devices.

"The special 'Stena' vehicle, with its unique equipment, is an effective tool for the specialized tasks of the MVD and the National Guard," commented Andrey Baryshnikov, General Director of JSC Kalashnikov Concern. "The complex, created in Izhevsk, has repeatedly received positive feedback from clients. Foreign partners are also showing interest in this product. In the future, Kalashnikov plans to increase production of the 'Stena' both for Russian agencies and international exporters. The division's design center is exploring the use of automotive chassis, including those produced in potential customer countries, to create the complex according to their technical requirements."
