"Poland's armed forces will acquire anti-tank grenade launchers from Sweden, with an allocation of roughly €1.146 billion," stated Kosiniak-Kamysz during a press conference, highlighting the effectiveness of these weapons based on their deployment in Ukraine. Around a hundred Carl Gustaf launchers were delivered by Canada and Belgium to Ukraine.

The deal primarily involves the acquisition of the Carl-Gustaf M4 grenade launcher, renowned for its versatility.

Its versatility shines through in its ability to engage a wide range of targets, from armored vehicles to fortified positions and enemy personnel. This flexibility is further enhanced by its compatibility with various types of ammunition, including anti-armor, high-explosive, and illumination rounds.

One of the standout features of the Carl Gustaf M4 is its portability. Despite its firepower, this weapon system is remarkably lightweight and compact (6.6kg), making it ideal for dismounted operations in any terrain. Infantry units can easily carry and deploy the Carl Gustaf M4, ensuring that they remain agile and effective on the battlefield.

Accuracy is another key strength of the Carl Gustaf M4. Equipped with advanced sighting systems, including optical and red-dot sights, this weapon system delivers precise and effective fire against targets at various ranges. Its recoilless design minimizes recoil, allowing for rapid follow-up shots and consistent accuracy in engagements.

Modularity is also a defining feature of the Carl Gustaf M4. Its modular design allows for easy customization and integration of accessories such as grenade launchers, thermal sights, and laser rangefinders. This adaptability enables users to tailor the weapon to specific mission requirements and operational environments.

In addition to its versatility, portability, and precision, the Carl Gustaf M4 is renowned for its reliability. Built to withstand the rigors of combat, this weapon system is engineered to operate in extreme conditions, ensuring consistent performance when it matters most.

Under the agreement, Poland is set to receive several thousand grenade launchers, accompanied by several hundred thousand rounds of ammunition, in addition to essential infrastructure, training, and other requisite elements to ensure the effective utilization of the weaponry.
