Located in the European Quarter of Brussels, the new office is intended to serve as a venue for engaging with EU institutions such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the European Defense Agency, as well as with NATO. The company describes the office as a place designed to stimulate discussion and share viewpoints on policies and initiatives relevant to the defense and aerospace sectors.

Escribano is participating in European defense initiatives, including the EU Hydef and Famous 2 programs, and aims to extend its involvement in similar projects. The Brussels facility is part of the company's strategy to enhance its role and presence within these initiatives.

The expansion into Brussels is also part of Escribano's larger strategy for growth, which has included establishing a presence in Córdoba, close to the new Spanish Army logistics base and the University of Córdoba. This is aligned with the company's objectives to develop and increase its market reach.

Escribano Mechanical & Engineering was established in 1989, beginning as a traditional machining workshop. Over the years, the company has maintained a focus on the integration of its manufacturing and engineering capabilities, which it identifies as a key aspect of its operations. This approach includes controlling its engineering, design, and production processes.

The company's main facilities are located in Alcala de Henares, Madrid, where it employs advanced technology for the design and manufacturing of precision mechanical components. Escribano has developed specific engineering solutions in areas such as electro-optics, stabilization, and control devices, along with real-time software, aiming to meet the customized requirements of its clients.

The product range of Escribano includes items such as night vision monoculars, thermal cameras (both cooled and uncooled), and Remote Weapon Stations for both naval and land applications. The company's Guardian 30 RWS, for example, is scheduled for integration into the VCR 8x8 Dragón program, which is focused on the modernization of the Spanish Army.

Escribano has adopted elements of Industry 4.0, incorporating advanced production methods and intelligent technologies like robotics, analytics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) into its operations. This approach is intended to maintain the company's capabilities and efficiency in response to industry demands.
