Signed on March 27, 2024, this agreement enables key French security and defense entities, including the National Police, National Gendarmerie, Customs, and the Security & Defense Cooperation Directorate, to acquire up to 8,500 units of advanced night vision equipment.

The agreement marks a step in enhancing the night vision capabilities of French law enforcement units, just in time to meet the security requirements of the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. Leveraging Theon's robust production capacity and agile supply chain, the company is ready to rapidly deliver these high-tech systems, highlighting its ability to efficiently meet urgent market needs.

This contract builds on a solid foundation of trust and performance, as Theon and Sunrock have previously equipped the National Gendarmerie, National Police, and Customs Units with hundreds of Argus Night Vision monoculars and other related equipment. This also includes supplying technology for the close protection unit of the French Presidency.

Philippe Mennicken, Business Development Director at Theon, emphasized the global recognition of the Argus systems, noting their success across demanding markets worldwide, including France, Sweden, the UAE, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Canada. With over 75,000 units delivered globally to various armed and security forces, this new agreement with the French Ministry of the Interior underlines Theon's growing influence in the night vision domain.

Damien Druon, CEO of Sunrock, expressed his pride in equipping the French national security units, particularly for the deployment of security systems for the Olympic Games. This achievement highlights the successful collaboration between Theon and Sunrock, reinforcing their commitment to supporting the French Ministry of the Interior and Armed Forces.

The Argus system, known for its versatility, can be used handheld, mounted on helmets or weapons, and will be supplied with 18mm image intensifier tubes produced by Exosens in Mérignac, France. This technological advancement signifies an improvement in night vision capabilities for the French security forces, ensuring their preparedness for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and beyond.
