On March 27, 2024, Greek company THEON delivered the first 2,000 ARGUS FS Mk2 night vision monocular systems to the Estonian Defense Forces as part of a new contract aimed to eventually equip 10,000 soldiers with night fighting capabilities. The contract, worth approximately 35 million euros for the initial delivery with an option for several thousand more units valued at over 20 million euros, showcases THEON's significant contribution to enhancing the nocturnal combat capabilities of both the Defense Forces and the Defence League, a voluntary military national defense organization.

The official handover ceremony, attended by senior officers of the Estonian Defense Forces, representatives of THEON, and local media, marks a significant step in boosting Estonia's night combat proficiency with the introduction of the ARGUS FS Mk2 system. The Estonian Centre for Defense Investments (ECDI), responsible for managing the procurement process, highlighted the thorough and comprehensive evaluation of bids, emphasizing the winning product's alignment with end-user requirements, notably in delivery speed and expected night combat capabilities.

Vasileios Savvaidis, Managing Director of THEON SENSORS SA, expressed gratitude towards ECDI for their trust, underscoring THEON's commitment to fulfilling its delivery promises within the agreed timeframe. This order further solidifies THEON's strong presence in the Baltic states, where it has previously supplied significant quantities of night vision and thermal equipment to Latvia and Lithuania. In the context of military cooperation between Baltic and Scandinavian countries, strengthened by Finland and Sweden's recent NATO accession, THEON positions itself as a key supplier of night vision and thermal equipment in the region.

Furthermore, the quick-release dovetail mechanism facilitates easy attachment to head, helmet, and weapon mounts, ensuring a seamless transition between different modes of use.

The ARGUS monocular systems feature a collimated line-of-sight and can be randomly bridged to a dual binocular configuration, expanding their utility on the field. Additionally, an optional Long Range Laser Illuminator extends the operational range of these systems, accompanied by a complete range of accessories including 3X and 5X magnifiers, sacrificial and antifogging lenses, day training and laser protection filters, and camera adapters. This comprehensive accessory kit enhances the functionality and versatility of the ARGUS systems, catering to a wide range of mission requirements.

Compatibility with off-the-shelf Thermal Clip-On attachments further underscores the adaptability of the ARGUS systems, allowing for integrated thermal imaging capabilities.
