Firestar Systems, formed through collaboration between technical and industrial entities from Europe and America, has a background in designing UAVs since 2005 and extensive experience in high-tech manufacturing. The company aims to design intelligent, reliable, and user-friendly systems capable of operating effectively in adverse conditions, without unnecessary complexity.
Having debuted at the Dubai Air Show in November 2023, Firestar Systems aims to garner attention once again at WDS 2024. Key highlights of Firestar Systems' offerings include the Hellhawk Attack UAS, an unmanned aerial system featuring a 30 kg warhead and a range of 500 km in its AM3 variant. Additionally, the Silent Dagger free-falling munition, offered in a range of sizes and guidance configurations, has the potential for anti-personnel, anti-material, and anti-armor capabilities, depending on the specific configuration utilized. Furthermore, the SkySting, an electric-powered loitering munition system with air and ground launch capabilities, offers a payload capacity of up to 600g and a maximum range of up to 5km.
Among the exhibited systems is a scale model of the ASU-45 UAS, a European-manufactured variant of the S-45 Baalam UAS, equipped for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Targeting (ISTAR) missions, featuring advanced capabilities such as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) solutions.
The S-45 Baalam, manufactured by Hydra Technologies, serves as a solution for aerial surveillance and reconnaissance, featuring redundant engines and control systems for stability and reliability. With the ability to accommodate various sensors, the S-45 Baalam caters to diverse applications ranging from law enforcement to military operations.
Specifications for the S-45 Baalam include its classification as a tactical Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), offering an endurance of up to 12 hours and a range of up to 120 km. Operating at an operational ceiling of up to 17,000 ft, the UAV features twin engines, redundancy, a payload capacity of 10 kg, and utilizes gasoline as fuel, ensuring adaptability across different operational environments.
