Otokar, renowned for its contribution to the military vehicle sector and as a supplier to NATO and the United Nations, is showcasing nine of its globally recognized platforms. The lineup includes a diverse range of vehicles from the TULPAR Medium Tank equipped with a Leonardo HITFACT MkII 120 mm Turret, to the amphibious TULPAR-S Armored Personnel Carrier, and the COBRA II 4x4 Mine-resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle, among others. These platforms are exhibited at two separate booths, Hall 1 B4 indoor and Courtyard CY-7 outdoor, highlighting Otokar's broad spectrum of land system solutions.

General Manager Serdar Görgüç emphasized Otokar's escalating influence in the global defense market, noting that over 33,000 Otokar military vehicles are currently in service across more than 40 countries on five continents. "Our expertise, capabilities, and experience are dedicated to providing the most efficient land systems solutions to meet the existing and future requirements of our users," Görgüç stated. He also highlighted the strategic importance of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries, where various Otokar armored vehicles have been in operation for over a quarter of a century.

Otokar's commitment to the GCC region is further exemplified through its subsidiary, Otokar Land Systems, established in 2016 to enhance its presence and ensure timely and efficient service and support for its customers. This local presence has led to numerous successful projects, emphasizing Otokar's desire for technology transfer and local production in the Gulf, which has propelled the company to the forefront of the global defense industry.

The participation in WDS 2024 is not just an opportunity for Otokar to showcase its products but also a platform to reinforce its position, strengthen ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the entire region, and forge new partnerships. At the World Defense Show (WDS) 2024, Otokar also introduces its latest innovation in armored warfare: a new medium tank based on the Tulpar tracked chassis, equipped with the Leonardo HITFACT Mk II 120mm turret. This unveiling underscores Otokar's ongoing commitment to advancing military technology and providing cutting-edge solutions for modern armed forces.

The Tulpar medium tank is designed to excel in mobility, firepower, and survivability, setting a new standard for armored combat vehicles. With a weight range from 28,000kg to 45,000kg, the Tulpar is engineered as a versatile, multi-purpose tracked vehicle capable of meeting both the current and future needs of modern armies. Its design emphasizes common subsystems across several variants, facilitating maintenance and operational flexibility.

Tested under the most challenging conditions, from extreme climates to rough terrains, the Tulpar demonstrates exceptional ballistic and mine protection, courtesy of its modular armor. This capability ensures the highest level of survivability for its crew in various combat situations. Furthermore, the Tulpar's superior mobility allows it to operate effectively in diverse environments - from urban and built-up areas, which are challenging for heavier main battle tanks, to woodlands and soft terrains where traditional heavy armor cannot tread.

The introduction of the Tulpar medium tank at WDS 2024 is a testament to Otokar's innovative spirit and its role as a leader in the global defense industry. By combining high firepower and destruction capabilities with unmatched mobility and protection features, the Tulpar is poised to become a pivotal asset for forces requiring adaptable and robust armored vehicle solutions. Otokar's presence at the World Defense Show, alongside the debut of the Tulpar, signals a significant step forward in the company's global outreach and its commitment to supporting the strategic capabilities of military and security forces around the world.
