UMEX 2024: Spanish company SDLE unveils new fully autonomous UGV.
At the ongoing Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) 2024, the team from Army Recognition, serving as the official media partner, had the chance to explore a new fully autonomous UGV developed by SDLE NexGen, a Spanish company based in Madrid. This robot, with a weight of 435 kg and compliant with the military standard IP67, stands out for its capability to operate independently without a teleoperator.

Equipped with autonomous navigation technology and advanced sensors, this UGV is suitable for various operational environments. SDLE NexGen, which maintains close ties with the Spanish army, has integrated a modular approach in the design of this robot, allowing it to perform different missions with interchangeable payloads. Examples of these payloads include a "fire-and-forget" weapons system, as well as a 360° vision camera for day and night surveillance, and 360° NIR illuminating camera modules.
In terms of communication, the SDLE NexGen UGV offers several options such as contacts, SG, Rfond, and Wifi, with an operational range of up to 700 meters. This development represents a significant step in the evolution of autonomous systems on the battlefield, offering advanced capabilities and increased flexibility for modern military operations.
