The Trikaal system is designed to be compatible with popular pistols such as the Glock 17, Glock 19, and the 9mm Browning, transforming these handguns into versatile shoulder-fired weapons. The integration of a high-resolution low-light and IR camera, an IR illuminator, a red dot laser, and a tactical torch allows for accurate shooting in a range of conditions, including total darkness. This advanced system supports firing from standing, kneeling, hip, and prone positions, offering unprecedented flexibility on the battlefield.
One of the notable features of the Trikaal is its ability to instantly pivot the mounted pistol left or right by 65 degrees, allowing soldiers to remain in cover while engaging targets. The ergonomic design includes an extension to fire the weapon, with the camera feed relayed to an adjustable display monitor. This monitor displays the aiming reticle, aligned with the camera, ensuring rapid and accurate targeting. Additionally, the system offers a clear engagement range of over 50 meters and a viewing range of over 200 meters in daylight, extending to 30 meters at night or in low-light conditions.
The Trikaal is designed for ease of use, with the ability to attach a pistol and start firing in less than a minute. Importantly, it requires no modifications to the original weapon, and magazines can be changed without detaching the pistol from the system. It is also equipped with a Picatinny rail for mounting various accessories and can be fitted with a sling for increased portability.
The collaboration between Zen Technologies and DRDO has resulted in a product that not only enhances military capabilities but also ensures the safety of personnel by minimizing their exposure to threats. The presentation of the Trikaal at WDS 2024 underscores Zen Technologies' commitment to innovation and excellence in defense technology. The company, based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in defense equipment, offering solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern warfare.
