The
Yury Dolgoruky SSBN, the Alexander Nevsky SSBN and the Severodvinsk
SSN all had to delay their sea trials because of the bad weather
conditions on the white sea. The ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) Yury Dolgoruky is ready to sail to continue testing of the Bulava missile, said an industry source. Two missiles were loaded on board the submarine, one is directed to the test range in Kamchatka, the other is a model for measuring the effects of a salvo launch from the submarine. |

The first submarine of Borei class, the Alexander Nevsky was also prepared for her first trip to the sea, but because of very bad weather in the White Sea, the sea trials were delayed. The head submarine of Yasen class, the multi-role nuclear powered attack submarine (SSN) Severodvinsk is also waiting for the weather to improve to continue her sea trials. The Sevmash shipyard is facing a tense schedule, since it must perform simultaneous sea trials for three submarines.
