On
the 7th. of November 2012, a prestigious international show will be
displayed in Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta Indonesia,
November 7 – 10, 2012. Indo Defence 2012 Expo & Forum incorporating
with Indo Aerospace 2012, Indo Marine 2012 Expo & Forum, with the
theme “Building Roadmap for Defence Industry, Present and Futures”.
Indo Defence 2012 Expo & Forum is the leading event in the field
of Tri service defence and security, aerospace, aircraft, airports and
maritime development technology, aim to establish defence cooperation
regionally and internationally.
Indonesia has a great potential in the field of defence and security
in southeast Asia since Indonesia is the maritime country, consist of
approximately 17,000 islands with a water area of 93,000 km² ,
where it is a 25% part of the world length of beach.

The aims
of the exhibition is to show the world that Indonesia is feasible and
safe to hold a big exhibition in the field of defence and security.
The exhibition is also expected to boost the economy and the revitalization
of the domestic industry, through technology transfer, investment and
so forth, as well as providing opportunities to the armed officers to
discover the latest development of defence technology.
This national exhibition has become an international scale, hold every
two years and this year is the 5th time show. With 600 targeting exhibitors
from 50 countries including 25 country pavilions such as Indonesia,
Singapore, Russia, China, Malaysia, German, Poland, South Korea, France,
USA, Canada, South Africa, Brunei Darussalam, Portugal, Ukraine, Bosnia,
Turkey, Australia, Italy, Czech, Netherlands, England, India and Brazil.
Indo Defence 2012 Expo & Forum, both the number of country pavilions
and the number of participating companies have increased approximately
30% compared to the Indo Defence 2010. It is because the economy of
Indonesia is growing rapidly and has been used as a barometer of economic
growth in Asia, besides China and India. This year's exhibition is also
planned to have a variety of interesting programs such Aerobatic Show,
Seminar that organised by the Centre for National Security Studies (CNSS)
with the theme "Empowering Indonesia's Industry for Defence Modernization”
and Jakarta International Maritime Consulting (JIMC) with the theme
"Opportunities and Challenges in Indonesian Maritime Industry"
, Technical Product Presentations and many others.
Support for Indo Defence 2012 Expo & Forum as the official International
exhibition of Defence and Security in Indonesia, comes from certain
Ministries and Trade Associations, among others, the Ministry of Defence,
the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry, Indonesian National
Defence Force, Indonesian National Police, Indonesian Army, Indonesian
