to present its news and projects at the Euronaval 2012 show From 22 to
26 October
PIRIOU
has entered the Defence sector with significant impact and is set to
consolidate its position in the long term. It has taken its place in
the market in the fields of shipbuilding, in-service support and ship
repair. Its participation in the show will enable PIRIOU to present
its news and its projects.
Shipbuilding: 44m-Maritime Training Ship
PIRIOU registers in September 2012 an order for a Maritime Training
Ship (MTS) to be operated by navOcéan, a joint company created
by PIRIOU and DCI. This 44-meter ship will be named «Almak»
and will be delivered in autumn 2013.
OPVs
and MOPVs from 25 to 80 m: a complete range of services facilitating
the State's Action at Sea PIRIOU is presenting its range of multi-mission and sovereignty
ships in the OPV (Offshore Patrol Vessel) and MOPV (Multipurpose Offshore
Patrol Vessel) class with lengths of 25, 35, 50, 60 and 80 m.

In-service
support and ship repair » 10-year In-service support contract for the French
navy's fleet of training ships
PIRIOU has completed the first phase of the adaptation of the 8 Training
ships and 2 Navigation Instruction ships as part of a 10-year global
in-service support contract that it won at the end of 2010 with the
French Navy.
» 10-year in-service support contract for the 44 m Navy Training
ship (44m-MTS)
For 10 years PIRIOU will carry out the in-service support of the 44
m Navy Training ship that it is building for navOcéan, the company
created jointly by DCI and PIRIOU.

4-year In-service support contract for the 43 m Customs Patrol boat
"Kermorvan"
PIRIOU has just been awarded the government contract for the in-service
support of the Coastguard Patrol Vessel of the DGDDI (Directorate General
of Customs and Indirect Taxation) DF P2 "Kermorvan" based
in Brest. The contract comprises the scheduled operations such as careening
and general maintenance, the five-yearly inspection by Bureau Veritas,
and also unscheduled operations such as repairs resulting from damage
or failure.
Pascal PIRIOU stated: "our root and branch action aimed at
penetrating Defence markets has enabled us to gain a foothold in the
demanding in-service support sector by creating a climate of trust which
will enable us to go further. We are now ready to go on to the next
level, i.e. to build ships and to continue to offer shipowners global
solutions at the best possible price."
