Yonca-Onuk
JV has recently signed a contract to deliver three(3) units of ONUK
MRTP34 Fast Patrol/Attack Craft and three(3) units of ONUK MRTP16 Fast
Intervention Craft to the Qatar Armed Forces. The boats are under construction
and planned to be delivered in two years.
Winning the contract of the “Special Operation Craft for Turkish
Navy Seals” Yonca-Onuk JV designed, built and delivered in less
than two years two units of ONUK MRTP22/U to the Turkish Navy. The ONUK
MRTP22/U is aiming to exceed the performance (speed and sea keeping)
envelops of the known-to-exist or to-be-in-design special operation
craft in the world. The development program of the ONUK MRTP22/24 hull
gave way to the Fast Attack Craft (FAC), a state-of-the-art FAC aiming
the qualitative superiority in brown waters. With a top speed exceeding
60 knots, an extraordinary sea-keeping and powerful weapon systems the
ONUK MRTP24 FAC nicknamed “Kangal” (Anatolian Shepherd)
equipped with Aselsan weapons and network-centric multi-layered AMICOS
combat management system would also impose itself as the ultimate solution
against for the increasing terror in the seas created by the modern
pirates nowadays. |

Today Yonca-Onuk
is in the process of developing the missile-capable ONUK MRTP44 (47m,
50+ knots) planned to be launched by 2013. The advanced composites
ONUK MRTP44 would be a “pocket corvette” with speed, sea-keeping,
weapons and systems that would make shy a corvette.
With their very high speed, high maneuverability, superior sea keeping
and shallow water capabilities, ONUK MRTP® boats are ideally suited
for the mastery of the brown waters as well as the open seas. The
flexible concept and state-of-the-art design will allow the installation
of different surveillance, observation, rescue and weapon systems
to perform military and paramilitary missions. Advanced composite
structures allow built-in capabilities such as low signature levels,
very low life cycle operation cost and a great flexibility of adaptation.
