At
the Sea-Air-Space 2014 Exposition, Lockheed Martin one of its "Skunk
works" programs: The Unmanned Carrier Launched Airborne Surveillance
and Strike (UCLASS) air vehicle concept. Lockheed created the Skunk
Works divison in 1943 to develop breakthrough technologies and landmark
aircraft. |

Lockheed
Martin's UCLASS integrates proven technologies from F-35C, RQ-170 Sentinel
and other operational systems to provide both the lowest development
risk and greatest Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR)
mission capability. The UCLASS will be able to provide decisive reconnaissance
and targeting for U.S. Navy Carrier Strike Groups (CSG). |

is envisioned to be a versatile, carrier-based unmanned aircraft system
that will provide persistent ISR collection combined with a light strike
capability. Lockheed Martin's innovative approach supports the U.S.

current schedule and budget. |
