The
Royal New Zealand Navy released a picture showing the new NZ SH-2G(I)
Super Seasprite helicopters in RNZN colours undergoing a test-flight
yesterday at Kaman Aerospace in Bloomfield Connecticut, USA. It is fitted
with an AGM-119 Penguin anti-ship missile these helicopters will use. |

On
arrival in New Zealand the temporary US registration will be removed.
Ten of these machines are on order to replace the existing five Seasprites.
The first should arrive late this year with all in service by 2016. KONGSBERG of Norway signed a contract with the New Zealand Defence Force for the delivery of Penguin Mk 2 Mod 7 anti-ship missiles and associated equipment in November last year. |
