DCNS selected by Australian Government and shortlisted by the Norwegian Government
DCNS, with the Shortfin Barracuda, has recently been chosen by Australian government as its strategic partner for the SEA 1000 program for the next 50 years. This decision is the start of an exclusive negotiation process that should culminate by 2017 for a first contract signature. The Group has also been shortlisted this year by the Norwegian Ministry of Defence as one of the two potential candidates for the replacement of its submarine fleet.

For a strategic partnership with Poland to enhance Polish naval and industrial autonomy
DCNS proposes its GOWIND® 2500, the new generation of compact combat vessels, robust and well equipped, both in terms of electronics, weapons and projection capacities, with high capacity in antisubmarine warfare.

Equipped with DCNS SETIS® Combat Management System, GOWIND® 2500 has already enjoyed a significant commercial success as 10 units were sold in 2013 and 2014 for the Malaysian Navy and the Egyptian Navy. DCNS also guarantees the necessary support to ensure locally the construction as well as through-life support. Through its strategic partnership with PGZ DCNS will bring its experience in technology transfer and is ready to guarantee a successful execution of the corvettes Miecznik and Czapla program.

In the submarines area, DCNS proposes to the Polish Navy the sea proven SCORPENE® class submarine with a highly performing acoustic discretion, an increased submerged autonomy thanks to the Fuel Cell 2nd Generation Air-Independent Propulsion system, and the capacity to integrate Naval Cruise Missile (NCM).

SCORPENE® class submarines, already chosen by the Chilean, Royal Malaysian, Indian and Brazilian Navies, represent the state-of-the-art in submarine design and construction. The SUBTICS® Combat Management System offers a unique capacity to detect and track very distant noise emitters at high speeds. DCNS also proposes the CANTO® countermeasure, offering a protection against numerous and simultaneous torpedo attacks even in case of unknown torpedo threats. Besides, the Group proposes a vast involvement of the polish industry and in particular PGZ companies, for construction and maintenance of SCORPENE® submarines.
