In total, more than 100 operational evaluations were conducted, under the authority of the Permanent Commission of Programs and Tests (CPPE). The crew returned fully confident in the outstanding capabilities and performance of the vessel. The Languedoc crew now looks forward to experiencing in an operational context.
With the feeling of duty accomplished, the crew returned to Toulon, after 20,000 nautical voyages in the North Atlantic and the Arctic to contribute to the defense off French interests. Languedoc was delivered by DCNS on 16 March 2016. The French Navy is set to officially declare "ready for active duty" FREMM Languedoc at the end of the year following the long cruise. |
