The
Tarlac class design is based on the Makassar & Banjarmasin
classes of LPD in use by the Indonesian Navy, themselves based on a Daewoo

It has a capacity for up to 520 marines and 2,800 tons of cargo. The flight deck has two landing spots for helicopters (Sikorsky UH-60 type) and hangar capacity for one helicopter. The armament of the ship, in accordance with the requirements of the Philippine Navy, will include a 76mm Oto Melara main gun and two 25-mm guns at the stern. |
