According to him, the aircraft have arrived at their home station, Naval Air Station Saki in Crimea.
"The aircraft were built by the Irkutsk Aircraft Plant and delivered to the Black Sea Fleet’s naval aviators under the fleet’s aircraft inventory upgrade program. Having completed a long-distance ferry flight, the fighters were assigned to the Black Sea Fleet’s separate naval attack air regiment," Trukhachov said. He explained that the Su-30SM crews had taken a training course in the Russian Naval Aviation Training Center in Yeisk and been gearing up for flying under the program on phasing the advanced aircraft in. |
