"The
Yuri Dolgoruky strategic submarine cruiser performed an experimental
salvo launch of two Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles from
the White Sea against targets at the Kura Missile Range in the Kamchatka
Peninsula," the press office said. "Both missiles exited
their launch tubes at the predetermined trajectory. The first weapon’s
re-entry vehicles completed the flight by hitting their targets sitting
in the missile range. "The other missile self-destructed upon
completion of the first phase of its flight."
The Bulava’s
previous two-missile launch was conducted by the Vladimir Monomakh SSBN
on November 14, 2015 and recognized as success.
