CHESAPEAKE BAY, Md. -- An F-35C attached to the F-35 Patuxent River Integrated Test Force (ITF) assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23 completes a flyover of the guided-missile destroyer USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) following completion of a test flight near Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, Oct. 17. NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – The MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft completed its 100th flight Oct. 17 from NAS Patuxent River, Md. Triton flew over the newly commissioned USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) while it traveled across the Chesapeake Bay. When fully operational, Triton will provide 24/7 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance for the U.S. Navy's surface ships.
