The main switchboard, pumps, compressors and other equipment have already been embarked for assembly, the newspaper reported with reference to senior constructor Sergei Panfilov. As Yantar Shipyard main constructor Igor Leonov said, "the pace of the work on the amphibious assault ship Pyotr Morgunov is quite stable." The sole thing that has slowed down the work pace is the postponement of delivery dates. In particular, several items of the ship’s refrigerating equipment are planned to be delivered to the shipyard in January 2017 instead of November 2016. "The shipyard is also waiting for steering engines that are expected to be delivered in early 2017," Leonov said. The Project 11711 large amphibious assault ship Pyotr Morgunov was laid down by the Yantar Shipyard on June 11, 2015. The ship is planned to be delivered to Russia’s Navy in 2018. © Copyright 2016 TASS. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed. |
