“We are proud to continue our support of the United States Coast Guard,” said Kevin Tucker, Vice President and General Manager of FLIR Surveillance.“As the HC-27J is the newest of the Coast Guard platforms, it is critical to deliver not only leading performance, but also unmatched support. Flying constantly, the Coast Guard saves lives and protects our nation, and we take our part of enabling their success seriously.” The C-27J Spartan is being integrated into the Coast Guard’s medium range surveillance aircraft fleet, alongside the HC-144 Ocean Sentry. The aircraft will be instrumental in helping the Coast Guard fulfill its maritime patrol, drug and migrant interdiction, disaster response, and search and rescue missions more effectively. The C-27J also will mitigate the gap in maritime flight hours the service currently faces.
