Russian Project 11356 Frigate Admiral Makarov Heading to Black Sea.
The project 11356 Admiral Makarov frigate has started a sea passage to the permanent deployment base in the Black Sea. The Admiral Makarov, which came into service with the Russian Navy late last year, has stayed in the Baltic Sea since then, the Black Sea fleet press service said.

" The third serial project 11356 frigate Admiral Makarov has started an inter-fleet passage from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea to a permanent deployment base in Sevastopol," the press service went on to say.
The frigate was built at the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad and was launched in September 2015. After that the ship underwent factory performance trials in the Baltic Sea and state trials in the Baltic and Barents Seas. The frigate had stayed in the Baltic Sea ever since it was adopted for service by the Black Sea fleet on December 27, 2017. It held several exercises. The Admiral Makarov took part in the main Navy parade in St. Petersburg on July 29, 2018.
Frigates of project 11356 are designed to strike at surface warships and submarines both in brown, blue and green waters and fight air targets solo and within the order of warships. The frigates are armed with 100mm artillery A-190 gun, missile complexes Kalibr and Shtil and torpedoes. The frigates can carry Ka-27 helicopter or its modifications. The displacement is 3620 tons, the length is 124.8 meters. Full speed is 30 knots and the navigational range is 4850 miles.
