PT Caputra Mitra Sejati launches two more PC-40 patrol boats for Indonesian Navy.
According to news published by Janes website on July 29, 2020, Indonesian shipyard and shipbuilder, PT Caputra Mitra Sejati has launched two more Pari-class PC-40-class patrol boats ordered by the Indonesian Navy.

The two ships were launched on July 27, 2020, under the name of KRI Posepa (870) and KRI Escolar (871). It is the 10th and 11th PC-40-class vessels that will enter in service with the Indonesian Navy. The ship is manufactured by the company PT. Palindo Marine, a Shipyard located in Tanjung Uncang, Batam Island, Indonesia.
Indonesia continues to invest money for the modernization of its naval forces and strengthen its maritime capabilities. The country continues its effort to modernize its fleet with new patrol vessels including the PC-40 program designed and manufacture by local companies including PT Palindo Marine in Batam and PT Caputra Mitra Sejati (PT CMS).
Citing Janes, the PC-40 of Indonesian Navy has a length of 46.5m, an overall beam of 7.9 m, and a hull draught of 1.7 m. It can accommodate up to 35 sailors.
The PC-40 patrol boat is powered by two MTU 12V40000M71 diesels (with a total power rating of 3,312kW) driving two propellers. Their maximum speed is 28knots at full load. Fuel capacity is 96.53m3. Their endurance is six days.
The PC-40 is armed with one 30mm naval gun and two 12.7mm heavy machine gun.
