He said the IRGC and the Defense Ministry are developing two advanced warships named after two martyrs, General Mohammad Nazeri and Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, noting that the vessels are 55 meters and 65 meters long, respectively.

Another military vessel to be provided for the IRGC is being constructed by an Iranian knowledge-based company, the commander added, saying it is furnished with sea-to-air missiles with a range of 300 km, can carry helicopters, and reaches a velocity of 35 knots.

Shahid Nazeri is a high-aspect-ratio twin-hull vessel operated by the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran.

The vessel is 55 meters long with a claimed long-range support capability of 5,400 nautical miles (10,000 kilometers). With a super-slender aluminum hull, she is capable of carrying some 100 troops and has also a helipad for one aircraft. Shahid Nazeri's speed is reportedly 28 knots.

Shahid Soleimani-class design has been compared to the Chinese Type 22 missile boat and the Taiwanese Tuo Chiang class.

A high-aspect-ratio twin-hull vessel (acronymed HARTH) refers to a certain design of catamaran vessels with a small waterplane area. These vessels are built and used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran. Such design is considered relatively rare in military usage.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is a branch of the Iranian Armed Forces, founded after the Iranian Revolution on 22 April 1979 by order of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
