About the IRIS Neyzeh

IRIS Neyzeh is a Kaman-class fast attack craft in the Southern Fleet of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy. Neyzeh was built by French Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie at Cherbourg, as one of the second six contracted on 14 October 1974.

The La Combattante IIa fast attack craft is a class of fast attack craft originally built for the German Navy as Type 148 Tiger-class fast attack craft.

Iran ordered 12 ships of the same class (known in Iran as Kaman class), nine of which were delivered in 1977 and 1978, and three of which were delayed until 1981 as a result of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
